For this project, I resin printed and delivered a resin printed replica of a planned Direct Air Capture facility. This facility has since started construction and is well underway. Back on August of 2022, I was working at an interactive art studio called 900lbs of Creative. We were approached by the company Unleaded out of Houston, TX to create a tabletop replica of their clients, Oxy and 1PointFive's much anticipated Carbon Capture facility. The Facility, known at that time as DAC 1, comprised of several large building sized machines that were each responsible for a different step in the carbon capture process. I was tasked with taking their engineering models from Autodesk Navis Works, and optimizing the 3D models to be printed on a miniature scale. This meant that many of the machines would need to be remodeled with 3D printing in mind. I only had roughly 2 months to 3D model and print a full replica of the facility design that would then be packed and delivered to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania for the Global Clean Energy Action Forum. There at the event, I unpacked and set up the 3D printed model on a 2D printed tabletop surface that our design team put together. Our lead developer, Steven Billingslea, put together an Augmented Reality experience running on an iPad Pro that used the model to overlay labels and clickable modals that could be selected for additional information about each machine in the facility. The event was a huge success, and I have since reprinted the 5ft model 3 additional times as well as 5 even smaller versions estimating roughly 17inches in length. The 5ft miniature was also displayed at the ground breaking ceremony in Spring 2023 where it was shown to investors, execs, and students in Odessa, Texas along side several other 3D visualization projects I helped put together.

All models were 3D printed using the Anycubic Photon M3 Max with Anycubic UV Resin.
